Honestly, unless it needs stitches or if there is heavy bleeding, there's not too much a vet can do but sanitize the wound. This can be done at home with a basic first aid kit. Hydrogen peroxide, Neosporin, and bandages. You know and love your pet, I'm sure. What do you think, does it need a vet? If you're worried, go or at the least call an emergency clinic.

Take her to the vet.. to clean the wound and make sure there is no infection. Can your dog put weight on the paw..you didn't leave much information...is your dog bleeding??

take him to the emergency vet clinic if you have 1 in your area or... if you have baking soda sprinkle a small amount on the bleeding area it will clot the blood and then bandage with either gauze or a washcloth or towel to put pressure and also keep dog from using that paw due to if any dirt or bacteria in the cut it can get infected...

Wash off paw and clean it thoughroughly. Then wrap it in some sterile wrap. Take it to the vet immidiately to prevent infection and to get it stitched.

you need to take him to the vet immediately before infection starts to set in.don't you think your dog deserve the best treatment possible? Cover it up with a clean towel and get him to the vet.hope he feels better.

Take him to the vet. In the mean time you can put peroxide and neosporin and bandage it to keep it from getting infected.
