if a man leaves his wife because she is a nasty,controlling ***** why after being divorced for 6 yrs does he still allow her to call all the shots if thats the reason he left her in the 1st place?its not that he regrets his decision he could have her back in 2 secs but they do have a child together(joint custody)

Women have pretty much all the power as far as children are concerned. It may be a fear that, if he doesn't keep her sweet, she could stop him seeing the child. With joint custody, if she tried that, he could take her to court, but it would be expensive.

The Man has NO BACKBONE......
He is a spineless jelly fish, and it has nothing to do with the the fact they have a child together.....
It is due to the fact that he married a women that was just like his momma, and wants the attention she gave him, even though the attention was CONTROL!
In other words... He would benefit from therapy!
He needs to learn to stand on his own two feet and make his own decisions in life!
Except when it comes to the kid, Then because they have joint custody it should be a 50/50 decision.....
Now, get a life and find another women, this one should be NOTHING like your mother.... Model her after your FATHER!

He's a wimp! Most likely his mother treats him the same way...he may have been raised with no back bone. The best thing I ever did for my husband was to make his opinions heard, and make sure that his mother didn't control him as an adult...some women are so controlling that they don't even realize they're doing it...which could be her case...
If you can support him and make sure that he knows that you are on his side, hopefully she'll back off if he shows a back bone...

Duh it's because of the child...or maybe he still loves her but either way don't chance separating him from his child because if he is like me he will choose his child over you..
I was told by an ex to choose between my daughter and her and now she is my ex..
If you believe he is still in love with his ex then set him free....if it is because of their child then try to show some understanding, he might just love ya that much more if you support him.

well never been in this situation but when men are ***** slapped and tied to a chain its hard to break... because first they lose their ability to speak their mind plus if she was calling the shots in the marriage hes not willing to fight with her more than need be... fighting is probably the reason

Try being a nasty controlling ----- and seeing if he responds better to you.
Some men need that in their lives. If you're not supplying it, she is. Maybe he doesn't need it every day, but, clearly, if he's responding to it, he wants it on some level.

I have friend in the same situation because the children-she gets totally stressed over it. If I were you, I would tell him it's time he got some b***s and tell his ex to back off.. She just trying to interfere with you and him. Don't let her get to you.

A guy thinks that he has to be nice to her because she has his kid and she has taken all of his authority away from him with the kid. He doesn't do it becasue he wants her, he does it because she will destroy the relationship he has with his kid.
Woman can be very nasty that way sometimes.

He might be afraid she won't let him see his child again.
She might be using the child to control him. Talk to him
and if this is the case he should let his lawyer know and
do something about it.
