I want to clean up some files on my comp. What are xml files and is it safe to remove them from my computer?
Are there any other things I need to know about removing files without damaging my computer?

Its very much dangerous to remove file like xml from ur computer's windows folder/ system folder.so, never try it. if u must have to do, i can suggest u to reinstall ur OS by formatting ur hard drive. Or get a backup copy of those files that u wanted to delete. then delete those. if u face problem in running system then again paste those file to ur system folder. Mainly xml files r used in setting up many configuration file of windows.

Not about removing files , but about removing cookies. Be extra careful if you remove cookies..
I did and am still cleaning up the mess I made..
For example, my bank couldn't identify my computer and, therefore, I couldn't open my account..(fixed now)
