The Concorde SST is just too fuel inefficient to keep in service. BOAC (British Airways) and Air France flew them for a number of years, but even when filled with passengers, each flight actually lost the companies money. With the fuel increases over the last decade, it didn't make much economic sense to keep them flying.

after the crash of the airconcord jet the company took another look at there ageing fleet and because of low ticket sales high maintance and fuel cost plus the age of the aircraft. it was time to shut it down

cost, there was a report out that a ticket was $5-10,000 , so really only the rich and celebrities could afford to fly it, plus did you see that wreck!!!!
