I take ritalin for ADHD (inattentive) and some days i feel it works really well but other days i feel like crap. How do I know if i am on the correct dose?

Also, i have noticed that it works better when i drink a diet coke with it, but again, not all of the time. What gives?.. i never know when i am going to feel good and when my mood is going to crash. HELP!!

Sounds like there are other things going on here than ADHD.

ADHD does not make a person "feel like crap".
Treating ADHD doesn't make someone "feel good".
ADHD does not cause someone's "mood to crash".

All of your comments are directed more towards mood, rather than impulsivity and inattention.

ADHD medication, when working, does not make a person feel "good", but rather calms them down so that they don't misbehave as much or have such a problem concentrating, etc.

I would talk to your physician about this more...you may be misdiagnosed or something else might be going on...
