kites, baby animals, the number 3(for the 3rd month of the year), or the letter of the week, colors(or color of the month), sometimes pictures of the children as babies is fun to them and of course their parents, families is also a good topic for the month

This is a page of weird things you can celebrate for March. If you save this you can have ideas from similar pages all year round.

March 1 is apparently Natl Pig Day. What with lions and lambs and pigs, OH MY, it all might get a little confusing.

Mar 1 is also Peanut Butter Day would be cool if no one has allergies. On a board you could put everyone's picture in a peanut, then every couple days move some kids pic to a jar that is filling up with peanut butter, then on the last day, bring them all over to a big piece of bread. I would aim for a belated peanut butter day...since the real day is Mar 1. You could have an activity or whatever the day before you change the board to the spring board.

Peanut Butter Day would be a good thing to honor George Washington Carver too (invented peanut butter) also as an African American, it would be a good way to wind down Feb (black history month) as well as keeping the interest going as an all year thing.

The peanuts to sandwich board may be a neat metaphor of teamwork, how when everyone works together you can do cool things. You can celebrate by bringing in peanut butter cookies...or nutter butters!

What about St. Patrick's Day? It won't work this year, but in some years, you could do Easter.
