get him a girlfriend. Its normal for teenage boys (I'm assuming he's a teenager) to go through a horney phase....hell, he's got until he's 30 (at least) before he starts to calm down some...hopefully by then he'll be in a secure relationship and can get all the sex he wants.

I have never heard of pornography causing rape. I doubt if there are any statistics to support rapists using more pornography than anyone else.
It might be a little "unhealthy" but I'm not sure if it's a problem unless he spends more money on it than he can afford. If he's over 18 and single, he made his choice of what he wants to do. Not everybody likes sports, and I'm not sure what you mean by "family time."
"Sex Addict" is a term that I hear on TV, but it's not really a diagnosis recognized by psychiatrists. It's not in the DSM-IV, the main resource of mental disorders. But some people might get "addicted" to gambling or other behavior to the point that it causes problems in their lives--it's called 'Impulse Control DIsorders." If that's true for your friend, he'll have to admit to seek treatment.

As with any addiction, you can't help your friend until he is ready to help himself. If and when he is ready he will get the help that he needs, but at the moment the porn is what makes him feel good. All you can do as a friend is be there for him.But in the same token don't spend your time trying to convert him. Get on with your life and eventually he may realise that there is another and better life beyond the porn.Good luck

1. You can't help someone who doesn't want your help.
2. A lot of guys are "porn addicts" until they get interested in someone and then reality becomes more important.
3. Incidentally, man don't usually rape for sex, they do it for power and control. Has nothing to do with the sex act itself, really.
4. See number one---you can't help someone who doesn't want your help.

Drag him out and get him a date. Get him involve in a community, any club, church, whatever. Get him to meet more people. Now see if he can get laid. If he can't get laid, he might find some new interest that distract him from pron. If he can, he might be addicted to sex now instead of porn. Problem solved either way.

You should be concerned. Those porn sites mess with your mind. You are a good friend to want to help.Tell him his family should come first. Most important school will help him to learn what he needs to get ahead in life. That porn is a trap to many that is now sitting in prisons for filling their minds with this junk.I hope it helps. If not tell his parents.Maybe they can influence some change.

Hey sweetie! The porn thing is kinda like his drug! He's not gonna get help unless he wants it!!!! I'm sure he will eventually grow out of it-and when he meets someone to be interested in it will subside and evetually he will stop - until then don't be so concerned-but don't leave your tube socks at his house either!!!HA!!HA!!!
