I had this SAME problem, and believe me, it's tough.

the first thing i realized is that my mom let me do it only after severe consideration and not because all my friends were doing it. She also came around when i started accepting the way i looked and how hairy i am/was. whenever i mentioned how i looked so disgusting with all the hair, she was more convinced to not let me shave. i know it sounds weird but it's the truth.

but when you bring it up in a conversation, try being casual about it, don't get defensive or whine or change your tone in any way. show her you're mature and talk to her about waxing your legs or using a hair removal cream instead. do some research on it to show her you're serious.

i just got my mom to let me wear a bikini (thanks for the tips), so i hope you have lcuk!

All you have to do is ask her! I SWEAR in a few years you will look back on it and laugh about how scared you were. My friends and i were super scared but now we always laugh at how silly we were being. shaving your legs isn't a big deal! All your saying to your mom is that you don't like hair on your legs! If your too young she will say so, but most likely she will respect your choice and let you.

there's really no reason she should say no... unless she's afraid once you start, you'll be wearing more revealing clothing.. or maybe she's afraid you're "growing up too quickly".. mothers are totally confusing. anyway, you need to shave them because it's not very acceptable to have hairy legs now especially when you're wearing lighter clothing. if she never budges, best way would be to talk to another older female in your life, like a more understanding aunt, and then have her talk to your mom.

o gosh been there done that.... just be like mom, i honetssly think it is time for me to shave my legs. it is embarassing to show them to other people and it kind of lowers how i feel about myself. most girls start shaving around my age. i would feel so much more comfortable. talk in a calm mannor and let her know how you feel. dont whine or cry it will make her think yoiu are stil a baby and cant hadle the situation.. good luck!!!

When I was around 12 I wanted to as well and my mom wouldn't let me. One day I just did it.
Not the smartest thing to do, but it's too late then.
Just tell her you really aren't happy with the way they are, and you would really want to try to shave. Be honest with her, talk to her about it, when she was little I'll bet you anything she was in the same situation.

if she doesnt want you to shave ur legs then maybe you should ask her if you can wax them. ive heard that waxing doesnt thicken your hairs and it takes longer for the hairs to come back. it hurts a lot though. and you have to wait for hair to fully grow back to wax again.
dont use nair or any other hair removal creams. i used to but then i heard they can cause long term damage cuz of chemicals so i stopped.

BUT if you REALLy want to shave then explain to your mom that you NEED to (like i mean if you can really see the hair on ur legs from like 20 feet away) or if you feel uncomfortable about it. im sure your mom doesnt want you to become a introvert who always wears pants and never wears skirts/shorts and etc.

good luck.

ugh the same thing happened to me! just wait till she lets you, and don't rush you have a lot of time to grow up, and so what if your friends do it, they may be making up stories, just like you. And trust me at that age EVERYONE is insecure of how they look, or what they're hiding.

i really hope you and your mom can come to an agreement!!
