Invisalign only has a 50% success rate. There is about an $800 higher price tag compared with ceramic brackets, with a $1500 fee at the beginning. I had them, and I was in the failing 50%. They are hard to comply with for long periods of time, so after a while my aligner trays didn't fit. I personally liked my ceramic brackets. If you are concerned with looks, I'd go with the ceramic ones or one behind your teeth. Visit your orthodontist, because he has many options for you. Also, remember there is some room for negotiation.

Don't get invisalign. I hated it. If I could do it all over again I would either get regular braces, or nothing because my teeth are not that bad, only minor spacing on bottom. We don't have to look PERFECT. It gives us character to look a little different. We just see on TV that we should all run out and have straight white perfect teeth. I fell for it too. Now, I don't think that brown crooked teeth are cool, don't get me wrong. hehe.
I wouldn't recommend invisalign because it is more expensive than braces. Plus, it hurts, and you have to give yourself this pain everyday. I decided a lot of times that I wasn't going to wear them and go through the pain today...or tomorrow. Not good, I know. I just can't take the pain anymore. Plus, it makes you talk funny. I have been wearing them for 6 months, and still can't get used to talking in them completely the way I do without them.
Treatment costs and time varies. Mine was around $3,000 and one year. And, it isn't worth it to me anymore. My family and friends think I look good, and don't need it.

Invisalign is the greatest thing since sliced bread for straightening teeth. How ever it is not for more severe cases. You will have to ask your orthodontist.
