1. Meta or mega, please make up your mind, they mean different things.
2 Post modernists has nothing to do with questioning truths.
post·mod·ern or post-mod·ern (p½st-m¼d“…rn) adj. Of or relating to art, architecture, or literature that reacts against earlier modernist principles, as by reintroducing traditional or classical elements of style or by carrying modernist styles or practices to extremes:
3. The term Metanarrative does not exist in technical words of literature.
4. The term Meganarrative does not exist in technical words of literature
5. A Narrative is "an account in prose or verse of an actual or fictional event or a sequence of such events. In accepting and malling such a word you place your book right in their with "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest."

But there are those, like me, that practice metacriticism. Which is a description in the technical wording of literature papers.

pppppfffft!!! ah ah ah....

Matanarratives not only shape a person's thinking in a holistic way, they also frame the thinking of cultures, nations, and civilizations. A thorough going post-modernist would deny the applicability of any metanarrative and suggest that doing so is oppressive. Religion in this context would be a private truth or truth shared within a community for social solidarity, making their particular narrative one among many.
