I married my husband within a month of my meeting him, he was never my boyfriend. Thats the problem, he gets the best of you he won't propose unless he is scared of losing you. If you want to get married get married don't have sex with the dude its wrong he won't respect you no matter what he says and he will always wonder how many men you have slept with. be chaste and say no to sex before marriage.

Why do u wait to for him to propose. It starts to get annoying and he may feel the same way if u made that sort of comment to him. I'm sure that he thinks that u r his equal. He probably never told u that i was your responsibility to cook clean and stay barefoot and pregnant. That's a really extreme scenario bu what makes so many women think that men should actually accept them as equal when the women still discriminate against men. Basically u think he should make room for u to express yourself as a woman but he should still stick to the old school prejudices and be responsible for proposing. U want to get married so why should u wait for him to do it. U propose when u want to get married or just go ahead and put your apron on because u r setting the equal rights movements back decades.

I've been with my boyfriend for 4.5 years, but we arent in a rush to get married...We've talked about marriage, and have decided together to just wait.... Have you talked to him about getting engaged? I would talk to him before you jump into breaking up with him, maybe he's scared you would say no, or maybe he is just scared about being THAT committed, or there might be some kind of trust issue he has...Talk to him...Us Yahooers cant really help you with this..

That's very subjective. It would really depend on why I wanted to get married (which hasn't always been the same in every relationship where it's come up).
I'd say, after a year or two, if you still aren't thinking in the same direction, maybe he's just not that into you.

being a guy, and know i loved the lady i loved, it took me about 6 months, but it just depends on how well he says " i love you " and means it, for it took me three months to say those three little words, i told her i would not say it until i meant it.............so it is up to you as to how long you intend to wait, and you and your boyfriend should talk about marriage
