The layout is very different. The Start button is replaced by a round button with the Windows logo inside. It includes a new file protection system that will be driving everybody batty. I turned that off :). Most of the changes, however, are internal, and no one will see them. Some Control Panel options have been merged, some new security measures, etc. It's nothing to get excited about. But it will be a tech supporter's worst nightmare, because things have been moved from places where they've been since Windows 95.
