Those who are in the wedding party, their spouse or significant other, parents of both bride and groom, siblings of the bride and groom plus anyone else who is playing a part in the wedding, such as those who are doing the readings at the ceremonies.

It is not necessary to invite aunts, uncles or cousins to the rehearsal, unless they are extremely close and you would feel awful if they were left out. Often people sometimes invite those who are coming a long distance for the wedding as well. This is not mandatory, but is a nice gesture to those who travel. Also, though not necessary, one might include the person officiating the wedding ... the pastor, priest, rabbi, etc.

Good luck.

Etiquette-wise, the groom's parents host the rehearsal dinner. If they are, you want to defer to their wishes.

Otherwise, it's really up to you. A lot of times the wedding party and family members (including aunts, uncles, and cousins) are invited. In my case, that was a whole lot of people (my mom has 5 brothers and sisters)

If you have a lot of people and the wedding is going to be during warm months, an informal dinner, like a bar-b-que, is a great option. Try to find someone who has a great house with a nice size backyard to host the party. If you have any friends who will do that for you, it won't be as expensive.

Best wishes!

The bride, the groom, their parents ,the wedding party, their spouses. if you have a flower girl or ring bearer, they are optional, if you don't invite them to the dinner be sure to take them out for a special lunch with just the bride and groom.
