im having the same problem except with a boy. i keep trying, but i cant. i think you just have to give it time and focus on other things that you like to do. try hanging out with other girls that youre friends with and maybe it will take your mind off of it.

I'm going through something like that myself...fell for someone I didn't want to ever like...and shouldn't because they're terrible...I'm staying away from them, saying rude things to them, being in a bad mood when they're around but in a good one when they're not. I'll probably loose them as a friend, but it's better than being in love with them and getting upset over them.
Keeping away from the person, helps remove the feelings and you don't think about someone you're not around as much.

the question is--why don't you want to like her? did she do something to make you not want to like her? if so--you need to forgive her and move on. My experience has always been--the deeper you have feelings for someone--the harder you grieve over them. Maybe the two of you need to talk and come to a mutal understanding and try to be friends. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
