Ok, I will change my oil, and after 2000 miles the oil level would drop and the engine light sometimes just comes on. This happen almost every 2000 miles after oil change.

I have 2000 VW Jetta 5speed if this helps.

Even when I park my car in the garage over days, I do not see any puddle. I think my car drinks oil.

I bet it smokes some too, that has to be the problem, bad valve seals or piston rings.

My first thought was that the oil-drain plug is not seating correctly and you are just dumping oil. Or my second thought was that the oil filter was not tight enough. Then my next thought was that the oil pan gasket was bad. BUT, when you said that you don't have a nasty oil stain under the car, my final thought was that you have bad piston rings, and or bad valve seals....... OH, man, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!
But, there is one way to tell! What is the color of the tail smoke coming out? If it is white fumes and the fumes burn your eyes a little bit then most likely you are buning oil, and then you will know, bad rings and or bad seals!!!

color of exhaust when you are following the car in another car. If exhaust is bluish, you is burning the stuff. Engine condition is not good and needs to be checked. It may be a continuous blue smoke or may just puff out blue every time you shift. Only place it can go, unless it is in the coolant. Would be a greasy whitish stuff when you take the rad cap off the radiator

The correct thing to do; would be to take it to your local VW dealer and have a certified mechanic check it out. Don't take wild guesses from other people here thinking that they know what could be wrong with it.
