Of course, we all know that the act of smashing pumpkins is sacred and reserved only for you ... and that for one of us to dare to perform your divine duty would be complete and utter blasphemy.

Recall that its a sin for a woman to show any part of
her leg in some cultures. It really depends on where
you are.
Of course, if you are smashing somebody else's
pumpkins without their permission (stealing), or you are
smashing them in place that you don't have
permission to smash them (vandalism), then
yes, you are committing a sin by most religions.
You are certainly breaking the law, even if you
aren't religious.
