Well i have a crush on this guy, however hes only in 8th grade, and i'm in 10th. I'm on the lower end of the grade though my birthday is May 24, i don't know when his birthday is. He's either 13 or 14 right now and i'm 15, going to be 16 in about 3 monthes. We are in different school systems, i met him in a theater group that i'm in and have known him for about 2 years. He's slightly taller than me and he's really cool. He seems mature for his age, i've always been a late bloomer when it comes to dating adn stuff liek that, i only got my first boyfriend a under a year ago. I'm just wondering if this young is too young. Thank you

Love can happen with anyone. No matter how young or how old they are. This is a feeling, and if you want to be with him, don't worry about age differences.

You're only talking about 2 or 3 years here. I have friends who are married and they have a 12 year age gap. I think the older you get the less age differences matter. I think it's up to the individual.

Although there is something to be said for taking your time and making the right decision for yourself. As a guy I must admit that at that age I was still into computer games and role-playing and all that nerdy teenage stuff.

You only get to be young once, so enjoy it while it lasts.

Many Woman like to go out with men younger than themselves it allows them to be a mum without the hassle of changing nappies.
Woman are usually two or three years mentally behind men of the same age so basically you have met someone on your own intelligence level. So by all means don't let that stop your relationship but be wary as you get older, most women like older men and if later you meet a man you wish to have a long term relationship and he finds out you are mentally immature this could cause problems, but having said that you should have Friends of all ages, its the essence of the relationship that matters.

Hope this helps, don't be to serious at your age but respect yourself

This is a special friendship. I would have you cultivate a good friendship with him and see where it goes. There is no reason to go crazy during the first week. What would be wrong with the two of you becoming best friends - ?

If you like him you can go out with him. There is not much of an age difference.

As long as you "hang out" together with friends too sometimes, I don't see anything wrong with it. Until you are 18, and he is 15, 16. Take care.

no i dont think so, whats two years, as long as you realise that you could get in trouble if you had sex with an underage lad when you turn 16
