Ok I am not here to argue. I am not gay but I do have some gay friends. Ok I know the Bible pretty well and I almost have a 2 year biblical studies degree. I know the verses in Romans and Leviticus where you will quote. In that passage in Romans you have to understand during that time people were doing all sorts of sexual rites to there gods and stuff. There was a lot of that going on during that time. So straight men and women were doing awful stuff with each other and with the same sex to please the gods. I have researched this ok. Also in Leviticus that was for the priesthood and it also said the priest couldnt do a lot of other things. God was trying to keep his people seperate from other pagan religions at that time. Also do you remember choosing to be straight no you just always have been. Also there are animals that have same sex relations. People who say they arent gay anymore were never gay anyway most of them had if you listen a lot of bad stuff happen to them in there past

I don't. And you're very right, surprisingly. It's nice to see someone who understands the context of the time and the people.

Being gay is an intermittent activity that results from a perversion of the mind and possibly the spirit. Being gay is NOT a type of existence or perpetual state of being. Compare it to any other wrongful act. We all sin, but our existences are not defined by that sin. Compulsive lying may earn me the label of "liar," however, being a liar is not the sin, lying is the sin. See the difference? So being gay would not be a sin, though homosexual thoughts and actions would be. Apart from this concept is that of homosexuality being a sin for the simple fact that it is a perversion of God's plan for humans. It is not of God, therefore it is ungodly. Simply not being "evil" is not enough to appear blameless before God. There is no neutrality with God. If you do not glorify Him with all that you do, you glorify something else that is not of Him, and therefore evil.

Having same sex attractions is not a sin. Homosexual behavior is, because it is contrarly to the natural order. Two people of the same gender cannot produce a child, so the relationship is imperfect. When Jesus established marriage, and whenever the new testament speaks of marriage, it's always in terms of a husband and a wife, not a husband and a husband. Humans have no right to change what God has established.

It is our purpose here on earth to procreate not freely enjoy our sexuality. Those verses you refer to are not for certain groups of people they are for everybody. To apply certain parts of the bible and exclude others is also wrong. Homosexuality is about pleasure, not procreation. So if gods purpose is for us to procreate why would he make some people gay and not others, or why would he not make it so everyone can have kids. He also says you should leave your father and mother and cleave to your wife. He talks alot about husband and wife, Not two women or two men. I also know gay people that are nice good people, but that does not make what they are doing is right.

Actually Leviticus has been interpreted to be for everybody.

But I agree with you. (I don't believe in the NT, I'm Jewish, so I won't quote Romans) In Leviticus it states that a man "shall not lie with another man," which Chr*stians interpret to mean that being gay is a sin. But if that were true, wouldn't it say "a man shall not love another man?" Jewish authorities (myself included, though I am no authority) believe that this passage is to be interpreted that sodomy is a sin, and homosexuality is not. For after all, G-d made gays too, and loves them just as much, and doesn't want them to suffer their lives through living a sin if they can't help what they are. G-d isn't going to send someone to 'hell' for being gay. They just believe that because they don't like it.

Well, God designed women and men to be together, not people of the same sex. That's why he created a woman (Eve) after He decided Adam should have a partner.

The OT says gays should be burnt to death, and the NT says if you have sex with the same gender it's only a sin, but if you're gay and you never have sex with the same gender-----that's not a sin, that's like your personality. In Christianity, you can be gay, but not have a gay partner and not have sex with him/her, so, yes GAY is not a sin.

In my opinion, not at all. God made people, so people must be good, regardless of whether they like the opposite or the same gender. Besides, love is very much smiled upon, no matter who it's with.
