I will be going to heaven to be with my Lord and Savior.

I know that I will go to be with God in heaven, because I have put my trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to save me and forgive all my sins.
Jesus promised this: "I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me (that is, God the Father), has eternal life, and will not be condemned; but he has passed out of death, into life." (John 5:24)

I used to be a very sinful person. I was a liar, a thief, I drank, I smoked, I used drugs, and many other things I am too ashamed to mention. When I blamed God for my problems, I went through a very dark time in my life. I didn't see any way out and I found no one who could help me; no one who understood. When I was at my lowest point one day I came home and fell on my face and started crying. Then something wonderful happened: a voice spoke in my heart this simple word: "Maybe Jesus really did die for your sins." With that simple word my life was forever changed. Faith came, and with it came peace, and hope, and a sense of being loved and accepted and forgiven. I felt inside for the first time that I really knew what was true, and what life was all about. I understood there really was a God in heaven who loved me so much that He sent His Own Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to become a man, live a perfect life and perform many miracles and teach hidden truths; and then die on a cross for my sins, so that I could be forgiven and wouldn't have to go to hell as punishment for all the evil I had done.
I did not know what the Bible said about what happened, but found out a year later that what happened to me was that I was born again. Jesus talks about this in the Gospel of John, chapter 3. There are also many other places in the Bible this is mentioned. What happened to me that day was I became a child of God, and I was no longer a child of the devil. I didn't know I was a child of the devil, but learned this also from reading the Bible. Since I became born again, a change happened in me, where now I don't want to do evil things anymore, but I want to do good. I want to be honest, and kind and generous and forgiving. I don't want to be selfish or mean or a deceiver.
I love the good and hate the evil. I am a child of God and love those that love the Lord. I know when I die, I will go to be with Him and His people in heaven, because that is why He came, and I have put my soul into His hands, and know He is able to keep me forever.
If you have not already done this, ask Jesus to become your Savior today. He said "whoever comes to Me, I will never drive away." (John 6:37)
God bless !

I don't expect to go anywhere. Everything living dies and everything dead rots. It's a natural process and I'm not exempt from it.

As for what you call the soul, I think there's no such thing, no immaterial part of me that will survive the death of my physical body. The human personality -- or spirit, if you will -- is a function of the brain, and that will be just as dead as the rest of me.

I'm gonna turn into dirt.Your soul is your life force. It's like blowing out a candle. Where does the flame go? Well..no where. It just disappears, it ceases to exist.

My 2 cents:

You have no soul. People are just many many many many atoms which join together to form a biological organism, which has many interacting systems. So you go nowhere when you die. The materials that make you up rot away and you become soil.

Flame me, thumbs down, whatever.

First in a coffin, then a crematorium, then an urn, then hopefully scattered somewhere important to me. That's it.

What evidence is there for a soul?

My soul will cease to be when the electro-chemical activity in my brain ceases.

If your evil you go to the never ending disco and have to endure 24 hours, non-stop BG's.
If your good you go to Vancouver.
