I am going to dye my hair from blonde to a medium brown. Which brand of hair color do you reccommend? I would prefer one that doesnt have ammonia. Also if I die it medium brown now then when June comes I will dye it back to blonde. Is that okay for my hair to dye it like 3 times a year with hair color that DOES NOT contain ammonia? Thanks.

I would die it darker in the winter and lighter in the summer. Only like once every 4 months.

Something by Loreal.. or maybe you should do a rinse instead of a dye...
Sometimes it's difficult to transform from blonde to another color or from another color to blonde unless you are willing to go red first b/c blonde often has a greenish tint to it.. so by using a rinse you can go red first w/ the rinse then dye it whatever color you'd like or try something w/ a red base in it to avoid green.. Good Luck

if you are doing the hair color your self i would recommend revlon is fairly cheap and contains no ammonia or you could do temp color that will wash out in 28 shampoos... also take into consideration how long ago you colored your hair blonde so that way you won't get wrong color...... going from blonde to brown is easier than brown to blonde, brown to blonde could turn your hair orange make sure you wait long enough 3-4 months, it will tell you on the box if the product contains ammonia or peroxide, normally temp colors are less harmful on your hair, if your not sure going to a professional would be safer it may cost more money but you would have the results you desire

Use nice and easy. It doesn't have ammonia and is a simple 25 minute process. It is more than OK to dye it more than three times a year. Most people need to redye about every 8 weeks.

I would personally recommend you seeking the guidance of a liscenced cosmetologist. I know for certain that if you want to have on 3 strands of hair left by the summer then keep dying it as you wish. But, you should dye it, and leave it alone! Give your hair deep conditioning treatments, let i t breathe, before keep dying it, please listen I know a gurl who kept dying her hair over and over and it came out!

Just ask Jessica Simpson, Nichole Richie and Nikki Hilton they all went from blond to brown recently and if worse comes to worse you can just do what Brittney Spears did after dying it brown...shave it all off and you will be right in with the new wave assuming this is why you want to go brown of course.

I wouldn't die your hair too much because after many years off doing that your hair will start failing out easier...
