The story of Adam and Eve is a myth written thousands of years ago by people who had no idea there were dinosaurs.

They don't know; they just believe. There’s a difference. Nobody knows because nobody was there.

The Bible says that all Scripture, including the story of Adam and Eve, was given to us by inspiration. That means from God's Spirit into the writer's spirits. So the writers didn't have to rely on “knowing” because they were just doing the writing; God was doing the inspiring.

Knowing is of the mind; believing is of the spirit. Your spirit is either alive or dead. To get the most out of the Bible, your spirit must be alive. This happens only after you ask Jesus into your heart. Then when you read the Bible, you can get so much more out of it, because you can ask God to speak to your spirit, too.

About “cavemen”: God says He created Man’s body from the dust of the ground, and this was after He had already created the animals. He could have told us He created Man from an animal, but He didn’t. He said Dust. And that body made of dust wasn’t alive until God breathed a spirit into it. God is a Spirit, and Man, who is made in His image, is a spirit. If God’s Word is right, then there weren’t any apelike cavemen. If the anti-Creationist scientists are right, then where are all the skeletons of “caveman” families? There should be tons of them, but there aren’t.

Well there was this guy, Fred Flintstone, from the town of Bedrock, who had a pet named Dino. And from then on everyone knew all about Dino's and Cavemen. As for Adam and Eve, they couldn't write but then they didn't need to. Who would they write to anyway? Few people knew how to read and write even well into the early 1900's. But that doesn't mean they didn't know things. They were taught by their parents. And by their churches. By their Elders. As for how we know about Adam and Eve, that is simple, it was passed down generation to generation. And written down as people learned to write. But remember this, most people had no need to read or write, simple word of mouth was used for ages, there were town-criers who gave them information that was important. As most people were farmers or fishmen and knew their work and what they needed, what would they read anyway?

Genesis taken literally makes next to no sense. There's a lot of theories, the one I like best is put forward by the book Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, I'd go into it, but it would be confusing if I were to try...

I wondered the same thing! You can even take it a step further then just asking about how people couldn't write... Genesis talks about how the world was created, and tells us how Adam & Eve were "created." HOW would they know? (If Adam & Eve were the first people, who WITNESSED their creation, in order to tell the story???? Who was there to SEE it? )
