It is called an Elizabethan collar.
It prevents the animal from chewing or scratching on himself.
Can also stop him from removing stitches after surgery.
Basically, it is to hopefully prevent him from doing damage to himself somewhere on his body.

That is a cone wore around their neck to prevent the dog from pulling out stitches after a recent surgery, or to keep them from biting if they have a skin problem that causes them to chew their skin until it becomes a rash or flaky.

It's called an Elizabethan cone and dogs wear it usually after they get surgery or something similar, or they have an infected wound, and the collar prevents them from scratching or licking the infected part.

Dogs hate those XD They are cones(Elizabethan collars to be specific) used in veterinary practices to keep dogs from chewing at stitches and bandages and the like. Sometimes it is used to keep a dog from licking a rash/hot spot or the medication on that rash/hot spot.Take it from me, it works and is very funny to laugh at in the process.

i believe that it's called and Elizabethen Collar. It's put on in order to prevent the dog from biting itself, or scratching the neck and face area.

I forgot what it is called, but it's to make sure that the dog doesn't itch him/herself if they have a rash or if they recently had surgery.
