I just found out that sweet n low has 4 calories per serving, instead of zero. I am used to using TONS of it because I thought it had no calories...but now I think my daily calories totals are probably wayyy off of what they should be.

Are there any other foods I should know about that say they have zero calories but actually do have calories??

Beware that some companies (maybe Sweet and Low
is one of them, maybe not) say that their product has
1 calorie simply because if anything slips into the product
that they didn't control, it may increase the calorie count.

There is no such thing as "pure" - and saying that
something has a calorie in it, even if it doesn't, gets
people out of the absolutist most that causes them to
sue when they find the 1% rat excrement that has
a calorie in it.

No, I am not saying that Sweet and Low has
rat excrement in it - I am saying that the people who
rate %RDA, etc. have an uphill battle against being
sued.

Oh watch out for zero carbs because they are often loaded with fat it is a trick of the words it does not mean low calorie or low fat or nonfat because they are usually loaded with simple carbohydrates like sugar such that they are high in calories. Read the packages. If you want to stay low on weight drink water it is better for your health. Drink plenty of water, eat lots of fresh fiber foods so as I am saying this let me go get something to eat and a glass of water. It is not so much what you eat as how much you eat of everything. A beautiful 90 year old woman I met who looked like her 50's told me it is not what you eat how much you eat of everything. When I have pie I have one piece not the entire pie. Same for the chicken, potatoes and veggies. I am a nurse when you feel thirsty then you are all ready dehydrated so you need to always be drinking water. And I drink lots of water.

Try Splenda for the sugar. Otherwise try the South Beach Diet food, it's not calorie free but it is very healthy. And it doesn't taste half bad. If you are looking for good drinks too, drink ALOT of water. If you like soda-pop get one called Jazz.

Most foods do, but even if they say that they are zero calories, if they have any sugar in them, they are calories whick will store as fat cells. So, even if seet n' low was zero calories it is still harmful to your healt to eat tons of it.

Not sure what ones you are aware of. If it doesn't implictly say no calories.. there is some. Like energy drinks, diet tend to have ten. I think the diet sugars don't say zero, they just say sugar substitute.
