What you can do is to sit down with him and have a nice chat and maybe you can address the problems that he has for e.g. his verbal flatulence. Tell him of some solutions such as taking up a hobby like reading. This will help him talk less. Or maybe you can just be a little more tolerable and ignore him at times. Remember no matter what happens you are still his sibling and nothing can take that away from you. Hope this solves your problems.

Option 1: Lock yourself in a room.
Option 2: Lock him in a room.
Option 3: Let him play on the computer.
Option 4: Tell him to go find friends to play with or call.
Option 5: Tell him to get a life and or shut up.
Option 6: Let him watch T.V. or find a movie for him to watch.
Option 7: Tell your mom.
Option 8: Tape his mouth shut.
That's what my sister does to me even though I'm a girl when she wants me stop talking...

Just excuse yourself and go to the bathroom.
Or go to bed.
Or go to your room to get away from him.
Or maybe you could go out somewhere.
If you don't have a car, then just go for a walk.
Or call a friend and make a date, so you can get out of the house.
Or you could say, "Hey, lets watch a movie on tv tonight." And everytime he starts to talk during the movie, just politely say "Shhh"!

Duct tape over the mouth might work well. LOL I'm wondering how old you and your brother are. That would make a difference in what I would seriously suggest.

Put duck tape on his mouth and tie him to a chair. That will make him be quiet for a while.

Give him food or something in exchange for his silence. If that doesn't work threat to tell your mom on him. Haha!

when you have girlfriends over at your house put tape over his mouth tie him to a chair and have all the girls give him a makeover

if he's like 9 or something play hide and go seek and if he says yes let him hide and "forget" to find him

wait till he is sleeping and use glue or paste or tape to keep his yap shut.
