Do we all just need some exercise and some brain food?
Why can't we all leave religion, and in its place 'THE ULTIMATE GOLDEN RULE'? No harm, No foul? ACLU?

Yes, it propagates like a disease. The only cure for it is education. Religious people know this, which is why they keep attacking education and trying to indoctrinate kids.

It can be, as long as it's a religion that makes you not care about the condition of the world (ie Christianity, Buddhism, etc.) But then again, there are people whose lives would be a lot worse than they are now if it weren't for religion.

Go read some Nietzsche, He wrote some interesting things on the subject.

Everyone has a belief, thus everyone has a religion. That is what a religion really is.

If you think and believe that it is a cancer than it would be a cancer to you. Its all in the state of mind...

So what if it is? Makes no difference to me as long as you dont push your views on me.. really other than that what do I care? Look at it this way.. if you dont believe in a god.. then you die and thats it.. if you do belive in a god.. then you get to do yer "I told ya so" dance when we all die (which in fact we all will.. no one has made it out of life alive yet)

Personally i dont give a rats a*s which or how many gods you do or do not worship.. thats up to you not me.. make any sense?
any religion you wanna go by.. its GODS desicision on judgement.. not yours or preacher joes eh?

(Oh BTW Satan said hold up guys... no more room for any new souls until the new annex is built)

religion provides hope to otherwise hopeless situations, the entire western civilization is based of christian doctrine, and we are not the only ones in the world to embrace religion. every country on every Continent has there own beliefs, so here is what I say "how can everyone be wrong?"

No...it has been referred to as a "mind virus" which is more appropriate, since religion is obviously contagious.
