when we were talking and he was telling me to say different things in spanish he asked me to see that I have fun hanging out with him and said once that I put the chees on his pizza and when I took it as a joke he looked sad

that can be very exhausting, looking for a sign that someone has a fondness for you, you would be better served to just let him get around to showing you in his own time, some people are slower to open up to other people and do it on their own terms. if you try to drag it out of him or read something that isn't there, you stand a good chance of smothering that little ember that has just started to grow. every relationship you have with someone may not be your soulmate for life time but it will develop you into the person you become. let things develop at their own pace and quit trying to see the future. good luck.
