I'm 5'5" and I weigh 170lbs. I want to get rid of it by summer. My goal weight is 125lbs.

ok my dad is a total health freak! and one of the things he says is to eat when you are hungry. now im not saying to stare yourself. but what you do is just cut your portion size meals down. what this does is it srinks your stummach and when you eat you wont eat the whole plate. but remember if you do this do not starve yourself. cut snacks out of your day they are pointless and just give you more body fat. just eat three meals a day and cut your portion size down. and maybe even get into a sport or go on walks every day. this really helped me out and i hope you use this diet because once the pounds come off the drive is stronger. and i bet you, you will look great in a bathing suit by this summer!!

Swimming and a good work out at the gym every day is good you'll have a trainer that can help you get on the right track You have to really want to lose weight to do this just depeds on how much you want to lose weight Those diet pills don't work they just get you addicted so you buy more Get motovated Anything is possible

What helped me was getting a work out partner. Having someone to motivate you really helps you get going. Also the fact that if you don't show up for a workout you will be letting your friend down which could motivate you to actually show up. You could also have use certain things you like to motivate you. So you could make a deal with your self that if you work out today you could then have your favorite snack. But for your situation you will probably have to have a loved one monitor you and control when you get your special treat for doing a work out.

I had the same problem. Until I found a complete health system which 1) helped me lose all my cravings for crap, and 2) was simple, easy to follow, and helped me lose 40 lbs in 6 weeks. Being a personal trainer and physical therapy student... I have learned that unless you want to do it, it will not happen. You need to find the internal motivation. I equate it to be like a light switch... either on or off. I have been on the off but wanting to be on. Try taking pictures of yourself and tellign yourself that your weight is within your control. How bad do you really want it? If your lacking drive, you probably dont want it bad enough. Takes work.... need to want it.

Like Nike says "just do it". Try this. Get a full body mirror. Get a polaroid camera, and get an excellent workout program. Always eat healthy. Imagine what you want to look like. Get some pictures of some body types you admire and hang them around the house. Imagine withn your eyes closed what you want to look like, then look at yourself in the mirror. Take pictures of yourself, take 'before pictures'.Then "just do it" one year later take 'after pictures'. Also take pictures every month.If you do not stay with it for one year you will see no results. After that year you will probably not want to stop eating right and exercising.

the longer that you stay in your current physical condition the harder it will be to lose the weight.
