What similar transgressions have revolutions been ignited over in history?

2007-02-24 12:47:07 · 14 answers · asked by Anonymous in Society & Culture Religion & Spirituality

How much "tolerance" of this intrusiveness is enough?

2007-02-24 12:47:54 · update #1

They don't leave it at "talking to you", they actively try to shape laws in their own image and make their beliefs the law of the land. They often do things in an indirect manner, via the proxy of elected officials, even if they wouldn't be as bold as to try to do the same to the face of their own neighbor.

Some will smile to your face, and steal your rights when your back is turned.

Steven .. you have the cart before the horse ... who provoked whom in the course of history? If theists weren't minding our business, atheists would have no reason to RESPOND.

It seems to me most theists think atheists SHOULDN'T respond at all, they just lie down and take it instead.

You are incorrect. "Minding everyone's business" is the definition of communism and fascism. This atheist embraces individualism over collectivism and totalitarianism. The communists made atheism the state rule because religion would be a COMPETING form of socialism angling for the hearts and minds of the masses.

Religion is far more socialistic than atheism.

Peace be with you,

It shall come to pass, those thing Jesus and the prophets spoke of in the New Testament. It does not matter what you or I think it is what God has prophezied concerning this Season.

The New Testament says that the 7th Pope and the 10th President shall fall to Gog and Magog.

We are now in the Season of the 7th Pope and the 9th President.
According to the bible they shall both fall within 8 years. The 8 Pope means that the church again shall raise and shall deceive many.

Is this violent enough for your revolution?

Tell me first what theist is minding your business? and then show me another one and then show me another. If you define intrusion simply as my beliefs clashihg with yours then your beliefs likewise intrude with mine. If you want to have a revolution go ahead. I can't wait.
What this really shows is the historical atheistic fascist communistic association. My my what a tuffy rebel we have in the safety of his home. What will you do next blow yourself up, to be honest I hope so, just don't do it around anybody and then you will go to atheist heaven that you so look forward to.

You still have yet to answer for yourself what laws, what political things have been done and are now infringing on your rights, how are you suffering, where are your atheistic rights being suppressed you fraud? Will you be the latest atheist jihadi after the Columbine atheists?

Well, let's see. They have money. They have numbers. They have key members of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government, plus a good many military personnel, on their side. They have power.

And one of the lessons of history is that nobody who has power will give it up without a fight.

So -- yes, I think violence is likely.

Oh I certainly hope not. Let's start by showing up at the polls at voting time, and making our wishes known to the politicians.

Also, make sure everyone you know sees and signs this:

I can see you are upset about something... do you need to talk about it?

I think some "theists" are minding everybody's business because they care about people. Others do it because they are intrusive *******.

I'm in favor of liberal guerilla tactics.

If they manage to have a text book printed with creationism, we leave gay porn and origin of species tracts outside of their churches during youth group meetings.

We can leave little leaflets...like Chick tracts.....with gay men teaching that homosexuality is a sacrament.

We can leave little paper machie statues of Buddha, Darwin, and Eugene Debbs on religious schools.

I think you mean "Christians", not "theists". Some of us are quite capable of minding our own business and leaving others to find their own path.

No, I will not become that which I abhor.

I will humanely educate every last one of them if that is what it will take.

Will it require something as extreme as violent revolution to stop atheists from minding everyone's business?
