Scientists are currently working on a way to merge the human brain with computers. They recently were able to get brain cells to latch themselves to computer chips. They are still very far from actually merging computer chips with the human brain, but this is a big step. Would you oppose this type of technology, even if people chose to use it voluntarily????

I guess it would be okay if you could e-mail people or something or learn something instantly but that would mean humanity is too stupid to actually learn anything by themselves and that shows how people are becoming addicted to the computer. I saw a repot on robots taking over the world on 20/20 or Dateline last year when I was 14 and this guy put a chip in his brain that let him control this robot. What is the point of that?

I've wondered about that. There are some good things about it, such as being a cure for Alzheimer's or brain damage, but of course, everyone complains about the right to privacy, AI enslavement, and other technophobic ideas. The same arguments are made about AI, but consider this: if it wasn't for AI development, internet searches would be less reliable and spam would flood our inboxes. As long as we new technology for good, I don't see a problem with using it.

This is the next stage of human evolution. I wouldn't oppose this type of technology as long as it was used to promote the well-being of people.

i think that all the scientists are working for the government(BIG BROTHER) for a way to have complete CONTROL over ever thing that we do and or say, that means no freedom for any one except the ones who have the power and the money, and we'd all be their slaves forever

Science is seldom ethical. Behind science is funding from controlling corporations. And control means obtaining even more money.

Yes, but i don't think it would be possible to merge living with non-living matter

It sounds ethical but just because something can be done doesn't mean that it should be done.
