I am going to be building a computer and will need windows installed. Should I just buy one at the store or is there a way to download one? I am currently using a pent III with ME, if I need to use this one to retreive it to install on the new one which will be a pent IV.

Personally, I would buy the CD, legitimate, with product key. Without the CD, if you ever have need to format or reinstall, you would have a problem.

Microsoft has just extended support (excluding technical) for Windows XP for another 5 years so I suspect many of us will stay with that.

They don't really sell windows for download on the internet, only hard copies bought at the store or order it at an internet store.

Windows costs money. Buy it at the store.
