1. Test if age affects memory. Allow your study group (various ages of people from very young like 5 all the way up to people in their 80's) to examine a group of objects. Then take the objects away and see what they can remember.

2. Create an experiment to see how acid affects metals, marble, brick and other building materials, then relate it to acid rain (use lemon juice…this is similar to acid rain).

3. Test the effects of temperature on density (is water more or less dense at different temperatures).

4. Test the effects of caffeine or energy drinks on students your age. How does it affect blood pressure etc. You would have to test at least 10 people.

5. Percent of body fat in kids your age. Obesity is a growing problem among teens (this may hurt some kids feelings…be careful).

If you have a digital camera and access to several different brands of printers that use different brands of ink, take a photo of a scene that has a wide variation of colors. Then, print that photo using printer settings as similar as possible to each other using several printers that use different brands of ink and maybe use a couple different brands and grades of photo paper. When you have printed your photos, tape them to a board and place them in the sun for a short time each day for several days. Then rate the photos printed by different ink brands on different paper grades/brands as to how well they withstood fading. This project could be fairly easy, fairly inexpensive, and quite useful to you if you enjoy photography. Then, research ideas on why various inks or ink/paper combinations may or may not fade. Email a Kodak engineer to see if he/she can help you with the written part of the project.
