I live in Lawrenceville, Georgia. I am not going to install yet. I just want to know the cheapest price so that I could consider if I should even install it. It'd be great if you can tell me a company name and i would really appreciate it if you can give me an estimate of the cost. Thank you

Well our siding cost about $10000, which is fair. Spending a little more is better, because private people cut corners and it shows wear and tear much sooner. Our roof was one of those cheap contracting deals ($1800) and it looks it. Don't have the same buyer's remorse. I do suggest checking out other houses in your neighborhood that are getting re-sided. Ask them who their contractor was. You can side it yourself, our neighbor did. However, through the years the quality isn't the same. He has many seams, which professionals try to avoid by using long pieces that span the length of the house.

I will try to give you some advice that I have learned the hard way. First of all, don't count on any estimate you might get over the internet. You will need a profesional to come and actually measure the house and get a feel for what the job will take. I also encourage you not to try to skimp on this project. If the money is tight, save a little longer. The siding is a huge part of the curb appeal to your home and one of the first things a prospective buyer will see. The marginal cost difference between a shoddy job and a well done job is not that much. If you get the Midnight Rider Siding Company LTD to side your house, you will be disapointed. Pick a reputable operator. Someone that lives in the area that has references and has been in business for a while. Chances are better they will give a fair price and give you good workmanship. Of course get some competitive quotes to be sure. Also, I suggest you choose a good grade of siding. They are not all equal.

None of this advice requires a PhD to give. I have learned it through years and years of experience. Best regards and good luck.

People charge an arm and leg for this service. The best way is to find an installer, buy the siding and pay him by the hour. You would be suprised by the savings. Its worth thousands to you.
