My rule is we should be dating for at least 1 month without sex. is this a respectable rule?

it's not the time that matters, it's how comfortable you are with the guy that matters. When you're adult & haven't had sex in a long time, you would hang out at places looking for casual sex... it's basically what you feel at that particular point of time, as long as you don't rush it.

Women who wait for a while before having sex are given more respect. Men like competition, we don't like things easy, regardless of our constant sex drives

if you like the emotional pain of having sex with multiple people. i personally think it is far too painful. i now limit it to the woman i am married to. i wish i had neverf had sex before marriage. now having been married for 11 years i can tell you that the sex is wonderful and GUILT FREE. save yourself the pain and honor yourself by saving yourself for one man who has the courage to love only you for life. A MAN of courage and integrity who will make the plunge and commit to you adn only you. You deserve the best!

You can't go by time, you have to go by comfort level. For one guy I waited 7 months, for another I waited 3 weeks. It all depends.

1 month is........it depends on how serious you are about her...for me i would wait as long as it took for her to be ready. i guess it is respectable but I'm one of the nice ones that are willing to wait. sooo dont think i'm talking for all guys
