It may sound kind of like a high school matter, but oh well. I have been dating this guy off and on for the past 6 years. And we have been off for a few months. He called me last weekend, but I didn't have much time to talk, but I think he was going to start talking about us.Anyways, for the last few weeks, I have been thinking about him, and something happened this week (with another guy, lets just say he didn't respect me all that much, he wanted me, and I had to tell him no countless times before he backed off) and it made me realise that I miss my ex-boyfriend, because respect for me was a great priority with him. And my question is, should I call him and let him know that I miss him, or should I just let the past be the past. The reason we stopped dating the last time was because our lives got kind of busy, and we didn't have that much time for eachother, but that was months ago, and things have changed. Thank you in advance for the advice.

You should call him. If he wants the past to be in the past then respect that, but you can't let your worrying in the way of what could be... again.

well if the only reason u and ur ex broke up was because u didnt have time for each other then i would call him and tell him that u miss him.

well, i guess it wouldnt hurt if u call ur ex, even to just say how u realized that he was really being respectful to you, right?

plus, u said things have changed, so maybe there's another chance with u guys..

If things between the two of you didn't end badly and your situations have changed then I say go for it.
