I honestly sought a relationship with God and can honestly say I never had one. Thats not to say I didnt second guess certain "feelings" I had during prayer, its just that I know realize that all those feelings cannot be distinguished from the same feelings you get when you meditate or use drugs.

So this relationship you think you have is, when you really boil it down, is nothing more than a feeling, not unlike the feeling a buddhist gets or a pot smoker gets.

"Its more than that...much more"

Sure it is. What your really saying is that there are all these neat coincidences that you collectively chose to think of as God's neat little underground code to you. Isnt that it....honestly...

Yes, because I had almost the same experience as you. I tried, but nothing ever came to me. I kept waiting for things to indicate I was feeling God, and nothing ever came. I am like, what the hell is it other people are feeling. So I asked, and relized they were attributing regular feelings to god. What a bunch of self-hypnosis.

Man, I get what you're trying to ask but I think you've got it all wrong.
It is nothing like drugs. Alcohol, weed, hallucinogens, painkillers, e.t.c. just alter your state of consciousness, and your state of mind for a few hours at most.

Having a relationship with "God" (or whatever you want to call it )is about having a relationship with yourself. It's about knowing your flaws and changing them for the better. It's about trying your hardest to become the absolute best human being that you can be. And becoming the best person you can be includes helping others make themselves into the best people they can be. And with hard work all of this causes you to be exponentially content and happy with your life.

There is no reason to criticize other religions because you do not share the same beliefs. However ridiculous they may seem, there is no need to make-fun-of or insult others groups or beliefs as long as it is for the betterment of the human race. Arguing over religions only causes conflict, because no one wants to be insulted and no one wants to be wrong.

Good luck, choosing the right religion,
or making your own, but only if it helps you and other people more than it does harm.

All religion is about forming a personal relationship with Divinity.
Personal relationship. This about this for a minute or two. In personal relationships you are a different person depending on who you are relating to.

To my parents I am their daughter. To my boss I am an employee. To my friends I am a confidante, a shoulder to cry on when needed, someone to go shopping with, etc.

Think of how many people you have to be in a day.

Now think how many more Divinity has to be. Being Perfect, Divinity knows that we cannot agree on It, It is, put simply (and I'd love to see an arguement against this, because there is none) Divinity (Basically your version of God.) is that which has put Order to the Universe.

When you try to base a relationship on what other people (especially dead ones) have told you about someone, it's hard to have a meaningful one.

No thats not it. Keep seeking the Lord. Seek and ye shall find.

I choose not to answer this somewhat mockery of Christian faith. Remember this you may mock me and every other Christian on her but GOD is not mocked, and as surely as you do your sins will overtake you. Start praying.

A relationship with God is spiritual. It's not based on "feelings".
Feelings come and go.
If you have the Spirit then you have knowledge. If you have knowledge then you have a relationship with God.

Yep this "realtionship" with god is nothing but a con. I mean you can't even get an answer to a simple question. Like what is his favorite flavor of ice cream?

You take for granted those closest to you
He speaks always to us with pictures, and His canvas is alive...

A relationship that seems one-sided is still a relationship, but if you don't care for that relationship, like a plant, it will die. I pray you persevere.
