An older honda civic - whatever your money can buy you. They will go forever if you just do proper maintenance. Look to buy from an older couple - they're pretty good at maintaining their cars and also don't drive too far, so the mileage might be lower.

first it must be safe car,brakes,lights turn signals ,good tires,no broken windows, no leaking anywhere.transmission ,motor in fair condition. good seat belts.
