I'm working on getting my bolognese sauce recipe down, and one of the recipes I have calls for using a "good dry red wine". Any recommendations?

It's really a matter of personal prefrence I think. I like to drink Merlot but prefer cooking with a nice dry burgundy. Try the burgundy is may work well.

Burgandy is a good choice, but you might also consider a Shiraz!

it is personal preference really. whatever wine I cook with is something I would enjoy with the meal when it is ready. i usually cook with cabernet sauvignon or zinfandel.
