One of my friends fell for me, we're really close, talked for at least 4 hours a day online. I call him my bestest friend.[although I do have other best friends that know me way better] He's a lot older though so when he asked me I said no because he's too old for me. I started to like him too, but kept reminding myself of his age to i tried to push him away a little. He can't stand not being with me. And up until about a month ago, I told him I would just text message him on the phone which then turned into phone calls every once and a while. He's getting married to someone else soon and moving in with them. Now he barely has any time to talk to me. We're drifting apart and it seems he doesn't have any time for me although I know he still loves me. Our relationship is built on care for eachother. I really don't know if I do like him now. It feels like im losing a best friend. What to do?!

If his fiance knew he was even talking to me, they would get in a fight and he would get in trouble. We've never met in real life. He's in a different state and I'll remind you, the age differance is that he's old enough to be my father.

Let him go. He has moved on with someone else.

This is actually a very slippery slope, and a tough question to answer. It would seem from the start the relationship was not on equal terms. You thought of him as a friend, while he wanted to be friend and more. Then things began to shift, and you began to like him while he began to seek what he had been looking for to begin with which is friendship and more. Have you searched your heart and asked yourself if you are simply feeling like you may like him as more than just a friend because you are losing something you once felt you possessed. The word loss implies that you once believe you possessed him. True love is not possession, in an ideal world at least, but understandably, we don't live in an ideal world, and most people love to possess. Sometimes we have to let go what we love most and hope it will return. If not, maybe it never was what we believe it to be.

Maybe you should call him, just to say you're drifting apart. Say something like "I know there was that whole thing where we could have been together and now that you're married/getting married we can still be friends, maybe we should talk more often?" If he sounds genuinely interested perhpas you can rekindle your frienship. If not, move on.

Good luck :)

you need to see each other & talk.Don't b so fickle either you want her or you don't.. Are u friends then don't let it die. You may need each other & what does age have to do w/ anything? If hes your best friend then why would u take a chance on not seeing this person? Doesn't he want u to meet the new spouse?

this is a tough one. Well...if you really love him, age shouldnt be a factor. Confront him...ask him why hes getting married if he still loves you and tell him that you love him.Or else you will regret it.Just tell him and then everything will fall into place.

hope i helped

times change, feelings change and people change. if he is older then you need to consider that..he is getting married...consider that...less contact, consider that. move on, move on, move on
