A few things could be wrong.

As someone has already said, sneezing is a sign of a URI (upper respiratory infection). This usually requires antibiotics to clear up.

It could also be allergies. I am not sure where you live, but you live that has had a mild winter (like my area) allergies are horrendous this year. Animals that have never had them before are developing them. This too may need to be resolved by your vet.

You are doing the right thing by taking your cat to the vet. In the meantime, just keep an eye on him and monitor his breathing. And most important, keep him away from other cats. URI's are HIGHLY contagious.

Cat's sneeze the same as we do. And usually for the same reasons.

Check his eyes and see if they are watery. Also, listen to his breathing to see if it's labored. If no to both, I would hold off on taking him to the vet.

Clean your place really good and see if it stops. He may be getting into a dusty area without you even knowing it.

Sneezing is usually a good sign. Not sneezing and labored breathing needs attention.

Most likely he has an infection in his upper respiratory system. You should take him to a vet, but he might get over it by himself. He could also just need to sneeze.

A cat who sneezes has the main sign of an upper respiratory infection. Take him to the vet. It won't go away on its own.

It could be upper respiratory infection. I just adopted a kitten with upper respiratory infection, and he sneezes occasionally. I would suggest you call the vet and see if you could get an earlier appointment just to be sure.

probably nothing. Its allergy season. Cats and Dogs are close to the ground. When it rains all the pollen on the ground goes straight to there little noses. Has it rained recently? If it has that probably what it is. As long as hes eating and drinking I would chalk it up to allergies.

it might be the cat flu and keep your cat away from other cats cos the cat flu can be contagious and wash the cat toys and beds so when your cat is better he wont catch it again.

Your cat has a cold and they cannot blow their nose any other way.
