I'm 5'4" and 155 lbs. I'm about thirty pounds overweight acording to the doctor charts, and I'm sick of it!

Please help! I want a safe dieting program that I can combine withat least thirty minutes of daily excerise that will help me lose the weight I want to lose in a reasonable amount of time that won't hurt me.

I'm hoping to lose at least fifteen pounds by the end of March, if that helps.

Please help :(

15 pounds in one month is too fast to lose weight. I lost 10 pounds last month but had to majorly restrict my calorie intake in order to even lose that much.

Just try to restrict to 1200 calories a day and cut out fried foods, fast food, packaged food, etc. All the bad stuff.

Drink at least 100 oz. of water. That's a lot of water, but your kidneys need lots of water in order to speed up your metabolism. Also, the reason people bloat is because they don't drink enough water. Sounds weird, but it's true. The more water you drink, the less you'll bloat. Also, drinking lots of water cleans your body of toxins. When you urinate, it should be totally clear. If it's yellow it means you haven't drank enough water. I try to drink 130 oz. of water a day (1 gallon). It keeps you full so you won't binge on unhealthy foods.

Try to eat more raw food like apples and salads. It'll make you feel a lot cleaner, and fruit has a lot of fiber in it which keeps you full and also helps you...defecate.

It's actually recommended that adults exercise AT LEAST one hour per day. So do cardio one day, a little weight lifting the next along with some walking. You'll definitely notice a difference. And this isn't even for someone trying to lose weight. That's just for the average person. So try to get in as much exercising as possible (walking the dog, taking the stairs instead of the elevator).

I use www.fitday.com to calculate how many calories I've consumed and burned each day. It's great and keeps you on track.

Try not to eat foods with a lot of sodium. They recommend 2400 mg of sodium a day, but that's totally unnecessary. Your body actually only needs about 700 mg to function. Packaged foods have TONS of sodium in them. So does soda. So eliminate both of them from your diet. Sodium causes water retention which is when your body holds onto water and makes you bloat. Bloating is no good. Even Campbell's Soup At Hand which has between 60 and 130 calories in each serving has 980 mg. You really need to read labels, even though it's a hassle.

I honestly can't believe I've written so much. But this is what I do. Being conscious of these things is really important and keeps you healthy.

Just do these things. Try to eat as raw and healthily as possible. Avoid red meat. Avoid fried foods, packaged foods, processed food, fast food, food high in saturated fat (that's the fat that makes you fat), and food high in sodium. You will lose weight. I promise.

PS: I saw that girl said she's 5'5 and 152. Well, that actually is overweight according to the BMI charts. Sure, one person can be 5'5 and 152 and completely muscle, but it's still considered overweight. Everyone's built differently, so things like BMI charts aren't the best thing to go by, but it is a good way to make sure you're at least healthy. Try to get a BMI around 20-21 and you'll look wonderful. Do love yourself, but I really do think it's important to try to lose weight and get in shape. I'm 32 pounds less than that and an inch taller, and even I have extra fat on my body. I need to work out. A lot. Sounds crazy, but it's true. Someone 5'6 and 120 pounds who is entirely muscle looks a lot different to someone 5'6 and 120 pounds who has no muscle.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

I'd go with the Diabetes diet the other person mentioned. I lost 15 pounds in 8 weeks doing something similar- no sugar, no simple carbs, vegetables, lean proteins, healthy fats, and exercise 30 minutes a few times a week.
Just by making sensible changes, and cutting back or eliminating most sugars (even fruit juices and things like raisins and bananas) make an improvement.

Losing weight takes time as we all know. But I've noticed that drinking an 8 oz. glass of water before you eat helps to curve your appetite. Drinking an 8 oz. glass of water after you eat helps you control your hunger for a while.

If you possibly could stay clear of 500 unhealthy calories daily you possibly can shed a new single lb a week.

well the best thing to do would be to eat heatly. Now 15lbs in a month is a little much unless you are on some kind of diet pill. I have tried diet pills. The one one that didnt make me to jittery was slim quick. I took it for about 2 months so far, i lost 5lbs the first week and then slowly lost more and more but not as fast as the first 5lbs of water weight. i also walk and do daily exerise. good luck, but be careful to..dont overdue it and hurt yourself!
