The best wedding I ever went to was at a picnic park. The couple rented a pavilion and had the ceremony next to it. It was the 2nd marriage for both and they each had children from previous marriages. All the children took part in the wedding. The wedding was in late July, so it was hot. The girls in the party all wore matching flowered rompers (one piece short/top outfits). The bride also wore a flowered romper that had lace on it. They all carried bouquets of wild flowers. The guys in the party all wore off-white linen Bermuda shorts and Hawaiian shirts. The groom wore white linen Bermuda shorts and a Hawaiian shirt. The minister was a friend of the couple and he wore khakis and a polo shirt. The 'aisle' consisted of two long strips of crepe paper held down with rocks they found at the park! The guests were asked to either bring lawn chairs or sit in the grass and bring a dish for 10 people. In the pavilion was all the food. The bride and groom provided lunch meat, cheese, rolls, condiments and the paper products. A friend made a wedding cake for them and several of us took pictures and videos for the couple. A couple friends and I booked a bed and breakfast for them for the night and we stayed at the couple's house with their 5 children! It was the most relaxed, fun wedding I had ever been to. My husband and I are going to renew our vows for our 10th anniversary and we're going to have it at a picnic park, too!

My sister is getting married this coming summer and will be holding it at a lake. They will be married around a campfire. There will be about 150 - 200 people attending and they have booked the whole campground and cabins. They are putting up a huge tent (in case it rains or if it is too hot) and will be having a reception with a bbq beef and then an open sky dance. The whole theme is outdoors and nature. She is going to wear a causal white dress and sun hat. I am her bridesmaid and can choose anything to wear. The flowers will be assorted colors, will be in pots and be placed everywhere. They are planning to have fishing durbys, play horseshoes, beanbags, etc. We will even be putting off fireworks for them. Everyone will be staying there that night so those that choose to drink may crawl home to their camper :)

My Brother and sister in law were married last year. For their engagement party the place they had planned went out of business. So a friend recommended an exotic tropical wood furniture store that let people use it for parties. It was quite fun and provided a different atmosphere to have the party in.

I really enjoyed my own wedding. We had it in my parents orchard. As my father walked me from the house to were my husband and pastor stood, I had all my younger relatives (mostly pre-school aged) give me flowers to create my boquet. Our ceremony was done by my husband's cousin, a youth minister. It also rained during the ceremony, but it was so light it wasn't a big deal. After ward the reception was held in a tent in our old "football" field. (My parents have a beautiful stream which we were married in front of) For the reception we had frisbees and small balls with our names on them for guests. We also had a bounce house. It was fun to see the kids leave, I knew everyone of them would sleep well that night. It was a really magical event.

coming from a extreme large family i have many, most are the regular but one or to have been lets say unique.

my sister and her husband are HUGE fans of the movie godfather , when the got married, they did a godfather mobster type theme, all ushers were in the same type of suits, and the candles were dark deep purple in martini glasses, instead of throwing rice, they handed out cap guns, and bubbles, they arrived in a black rolls Royce, they set up a photo booth were the pictures would be old fashion style, all the guest were required to follow the theme, black was the only colour allowed, for women we all got black boa's great fun, the music was from the godfather, very unique indeed

my uncle had a 20's style theme wedding where we had to dress like from the 20's flapper dresses for girls and baggy suites for the guys, the music was all flapper style, very energetic

my cousin had a 60's style them, menue was a diner theme the servers were on roller skates and sock hop style , and poodle dresses, was required, and 60's music played all night,

my niece had gotten married on the tall ships and had about 150 guest, attend the ceromonie, the tall ships theme went on through out the wedding reception, and it was all in white, the groom and the ushers all wore white suites with light blue trim and sailor hats, everything had a ocean theme from decorations right up to the cake, including the menu, they enjoyed sailing, so they went with that

my other sister had a castle theme, horse draw carriage for everyone, everyone was requested to dress as princess and prince, only the bride and groom was allowed to be dress as queen and king, the reception was set up like a royal wedding including the decoration, the music was ball room style all night this was a "very enchanted evening"

my sister-in-law, got married on halloween and had a custume theme wedding, along with a fright house, music was mixed, and everyone had fun, she even set up a childrens area with mini play houses so they could go door to door , so to speak, the menue tasted so amazing but looked very ghoulish, she even handed out trick or treat bags to all the guest with wedding favors

my brother in law, wanted a mortercycle them "riders wedding" and this one was set to rock n roll, bikes, and come as you are no dressing formal except the wedding party, a wild night lots of fun and laughs, they even set a ride area up for the kids

my gosh so many and hard to think of them all BUT

LOL i just asked my husband what else to help me remember we have been married twenty years now, as i was drawing a blank , my husbands sence of humour said "have an amazing race theme, and see who gets to the church on time" hopefully it will make you laugh as much as i did,

anyway those are some of the unique weddings i have attended hope this helps a little, my wedding twenty years ago was on thanks giving day, and was a outdoor wedding , very romatic theme, and very beautiful

Have a chuppa (Jewish wedding canopy), but decorate it either:
1. Hawaiian with tropical flowers or
2. Romantic with red roses and rose petals

and huge candles in the aisle leading up to the chuppa
