Well, to start, don't do anything to break it. Let her know you care about her without any alterior motives. Be her friend not asking for anything in return. Thats how you win anyones heart, unless they are as**oles, and nobody wants to win the heart of an a**hole anyhow unless your a donkey.

First you should start out as friends. Do not bring up anything that could possibly relate to her ex. Try to go out and do fun activities ( preferbly places she's never been already ). This way she will build special memories with you. I wish you the best.

A few months? How long is this girl going to sulk? You should have already moved on to someone more emotionally stable by now. Tell her to get over it.

Be her friend and help her through the heartache. Give her time to heal so that you don't end up getting hurt because you would end up in a rebound relationship.

Take it slow, be gentle, when I time is right, let her know how you feel. Don't be too timid though, or you'll end up "friends".
