First of all, wet your bangs and cut them about 2 cm longer then you want them to be. When your hair dries, they will be a LOT shorter, and it is better not to look like you did a complete hack job on your hair.

When cutting your bangs, follow the lines you had on your previous haircut. Make sure to use a pair of really sharp, high quality sissors and try your best not to go crooked. Generally using a comb can help (or hinder if it just doesn't work for you).

In the end, cutting your own bangs should be a temporary thing before making a salon appointment (ie, in between haircuts because your bangs get in your eyes all the time). Best to let the professionals handle things like this.

Well first of all, I think it's a great idea if you decide to do it yourself. Well in the long run that is.
I think some research would be nice, maybe try to look some free sites ideas up for haircutting ideas.

1) you need to wetting the hair that you want to cut. It keeps it from damaging it!!!!
2) Then comb all the hair back that you don't want to cut!
3) double check. you can easier add more then subtract!
4) look into the mirror and cut about 1/2 inch longer then you want it to be when it's dry. just Very few hair.
5) Then take those very few hair with some of those besides it and lift them up together. Use the short hair as a example where to cut those other hair.Let them down.
6)Now again take a few hair of your already cut hair, with some uncut hair just besides them, and lift them up, and cut the same length.
7) repeat step 6 until all your desired hair has been cut.

Lifting them up is better then just looking in the mirror and trying to cut a straight line, for several reasons!
First, it makes them not just hang plain down, second you'll get it a lot straigther this way! I mean lifting up like pulling up!

Remember that hair wet will be shorter when dry! I really hope this helped. Best of Luck to you!!

dont cut your bangs or hair wet .. cuz if you do, you might cut it too short && when it dries, it'll be too short .... shorter than it was wet... anyways ....
1. seperate your hair from the hair you want to be bangs.
2. then take your bangs and put them comfortably between your pointer finger and middle finger...make sure they're flattened out and not bunched up in some places.
3. cut in a straight line (for bangs that are straight and all the same length), be careful and steady.... cut in a bit of a v (a long V!!!), making the bangs that will be on the side of your head will be the longest strands and the ones toward the middle will be in the middle of your forehead .

its okay to do this if you're trimming your bangs.

i've been cutting my bangs for a long time, but if this is your first time you should get them done at a salon.

First what face shape do have.SQUARE FACE:Soften up the edges with a style that breaks up the symmetry. Play with offentre partings, graduated layers and soft curls.ROUND FACE:Soft, feathery cuts with layers coming forward onto the face look stylish and sophisticated and also slim down a fuller face. LONG FACE: A fringe{bangs} disguises a long forhead, while a chin-or shoulder-length style adds volume and broadend the face.OVAL FACE: this classic shape can take any look. With this in mind, use your hairstyle to create an illusion of the perfect oval by balancing out the proportions. HEART-SHAPED: the narrowing of the face can be countered with the extra volume of a layered, which flicks outwards at chin level.

# TEP 1: Consider the thickness and length of the bangs you desire before you make the first cut. You might want to have your bangs professionally cut and then opt for self-maintenance. This way, you won't need to determine the best shape, balance and length yourself.
# STEP 2: Begin with wet, tangle-free hair. Comb the section you want to cut forward and pin all other hair away from your face. Make sure that you have collected the same amount of hair from both sides of a middle part and that the hair will cover the desired length of your forehead.
# STEP 3: Gather all of your soon-to-be-bangs into a point and cut anything lower than the tip of your nose. Shake the bangs out and decide how you'd like to shape them.
# STEP 4: Comb one side of your bangs straight, grasping them between straight index and middle fingers. Pull gently and hold the hair at a slight distance from your face.
# STEP 5: Cut from edge to edge following the horizontal line of your fingers to create straight bangs. Create jagged, spiked bangs by cutting vertically, snipping up rather than across.
# STEP 6: Trim your bangs by following the lines that you or your stylist originally created. Remember that cutting wet hair is easier than cutting dry hair. Keep your hands steady and remember that you only need to cut a small amount.

Tips & Warnings

* Invest in a pair of sharp, high-quality hair scissors. Utility scissors that have been used to cut paper or cloth are too dull for cutting hair.
* Be sure not to cut too much. Remember that your wet hair will dry, so leave wet bangs a little longer than you want them when dry.
* Be careful with the sharp tips of the scissors. Avoid accidentally poking your eyes or cutting your fingers.

Comb your hair in the fashion you want, then get your bangs combed down and clip to the desired length you want them.

you never did it?
then you need a friend to be with you when you do it, so that he or she can look and tell you how to do it in the right way and to don`t cut too much of it!
