I would recommend an historic estate/mansion, museum, art gallery, or gardens in Jacksonville. Most places like these have beautiful scenery for weddings. Even some have space for both ceremonies and receptions. You may also want to consider having your wedding in St. Augustine. It is such a beautiful and historic city. Here are a few places in St. Augustine you may want to look at:

Wow, you have so many choices because Jacksonville is a coastal city. My suggestions are:

Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens- they have some beautiful formal gardens, but keep in mind that the gardens will only be at their best from Feb. to July

Jacksonville Zoo- if you are an animal lover

The beach

Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville- food and beverage restrictions

Palm Valley Ranch

These are just a few unique locations; I hope this helps. All these places have web sites. So, check them out and I wish you the best in your wedding planning and impending marriage.

This isn't the problem it once was.
You can get married in a garden, farm, beach, home, winery, museum, ship (no captains can't marry you) Art gallery, castle, hotel, resturant, even the venue where you're having your reception, which is becoming quite popular.

I've been asked to perform a wedding at a The Newport Acquarium in KY and next week I'll be perfoming a small wedding at a B&B. So the places are limitless.

You should see about doing it at the Castillo in Saint Augustine. Its just a short trip down the road and is really beautiful there. OR, you could do it at the Fountain of Youth...on the way to S.A. The nice thing about S.A. is the fact that there are a TON of restaurants right across the street from the fort.

Drive down and take a look. Its about 45 minutes from Jacksonville.

I know someone already said this, but hotels are a really good place to have it. They partition of a room for the ceremony to be held in and then for the reception to be in. Plus, they set up the chairs for you and everything (if you do it at the beach you have to rent chairs and stuff). I'm having mine at the Marriot. It is only $250 to rent out the room for the ceremony. You could always have it as a backup plan in case of bad weather. Also, the Marriot by me has a nice Gazebo area for pictures (it's in their courtyard). Hope this helps.

Hotels are best, in my opinion, and you can have the ceremony there too. We're having an open bar, so we're having it all at a hotel so people don't have to drive somewhere in between the ceremony and the reception and so people don't have to drive home after a long night of drinking. Instead, they just take the elevator to their room and go to sleep safely.

I love the outdoors. A beautiful outdoors location could be just right. Or, if you're close to your family--and if it doesn't offend anyone--having it in a family member's home seems especially appropiate to me, since marriage is all about family and home. hope this helps.

You can get married anywhere you want. In a lovely park by the flowers, by the ocean at the beach, even in your own back yard.

las vegas - it doesn't have to be tacky either. my bro was married at cesar's palace and it was a nice ceremnoy (quick too) and then everyone got to hang out and spend time with each other seeing various shows, gambling, etc. It was a lot of fun.
