When you could easily open them or take them down?

You know, the gate in my kitchen doorway, i do that all the time with! Eventually, after climbing over it for the fifth time, i'll take it down and prop it against a wall! :) But i'll tell you, i have two other gates in the house, one blocking the basement stairway, and another one blocking the hallway into our bedrooms, and they both have swing doors on them! They are wonderful!!! I spent a little more money on them than the kitchen gate, but it is sooo worth it NOT to have to climb over them! Maybe you could look into those kind? Unless, you like your nightly excersize! LOL! :)

Yes, we have one in the bathroom doorway! I climb over it in the middle of the night. I know that if I take it down and forget to put it up first thing in the morning that's the first thing my son will head too. If I don't catch him fast enough he will be in the toilet or cat food. It's happened before and I rather climb over it than cleaning up another mess.

Uh...YEAH! Whats the use of taking them down when you just have to put them up again tomorrow! I say get some swinging gates so you don't have to do the 300M hurdles for the next several years.

We have gates that swing open, so we don't really climb over them :)

There's no baby, but we have the gates for the dogs...and yeah, they are a pain in the Heineken, arent they!

I think about taking them down, but then I would just have to put them back up again.......it is easier to just step over them, I guess.

No. I'm 5'1 and I have to open them because my legs are too short to go over them.
