* Bottle of Gel type school glue (water soluble)
* Comb
* Hair Dryer
* A freshly washed mohawk

* STEP 1: Dry your hair after getting out of the shower. Water will dilute the glue, so make sure it's mostly dry.
* STEP 2: Place a healthy gob of the gel glue in your hand. This sort of glue is water soluble, meaning it can easily wash out with just water. Apply to the portion of the mohawk you want to start with. If you're like me, there's too much hair to do all at once because the glue would dry before you could get to it all. You want to move along the mohawk so that the first section isn't totally dry before you begin on the second. This way it will blend together nicely.
* STEP 3: Hang your head upside down (looking through your legs) and comb it as straight down as you can. No one wants a lopsided mohawk! The glue should begin thickening at this point, making it easier to style. To accelerate the drying process, keep hanging your head down and use the blow dryer.
* STEP 4: Depending on the look you want, you'll style a bit differently. I wanted my mohawk to stand straight off of my head in every direction, which means directly backward from the back of my head and upper neck. So at some point, you'll have to switch from head down looking between your legs to head up looking straight at the ceiling. Use gravity... don't fight it! Once the glue is hard, you're ready to go all day! It's extremely sturdy. If you don't want to go to sleep with hard hair and end up with little dried glue bits on your pillow... run your head under the sink before bed. The glue will wash right out without any shampoo required. I do recommend showering and shampooing like a regular clean human being though.
