i think that the boy should make the move first......but if the guy is a loser then the girl should take it upon herself to make the first move

Well, it gets confusing if both are boys or both are girls? Hmm, maybe then they need to picks sides, I'll be the boy and you be the girl. Then I would say the boy unless you are of the feminist school of thought, then definately go with the girl first.

the guy or the girl wont follow through. my friends and i think its awkward for a girl to make the first move. it could vary depending on the individual but it should be the guy!
