During a routine traffic stop if the officer believes your under the influence of a narcotic or alcohol, He may order you to remove your glasses. It creates more problems for you than for him if you refuse as he has all these Nifty Little Law Enforcement Technics He can put on your butt.

He sure can. A officer is trained in seeing certian things and behavior in a person when they stop you. So if you are wearing sun glasses how would they see if you have blood shot eyes ?
Blood shot eyes are a indication to drug use or drinking and driving among other things.

Yes they can.

They have to ascertain whether or not the person driving is under the influence and the pupils give some good hints.

Kinda like the eye test..."follow my pen with your eyes" An intoxicated person's eyes flicker as they look to the far right and left.

Yes. It's an officer safety issue. If he can't see where your eyes are directed, he cannot anticipate any moves you might choose to make to harm him. So, yes. He can.

Police officers pretty mucy do what they want. A lot of them even lie in court and people are put in jail due to these lies. Got to remember, most cops are cops because they are too dumb and lazy to do anything else. Sure isn't for the money !
