My boyfriend and I have been going out for a year. We are both 17 and everyone who has asked about our sex life and learned that we have performed no sexual acts with one another is shocked. Why is that so bad?

No.....It's totally normal.....I actually think more couples should be like that to prevent teen pregnancy!!!!! Lol.....
But no I think it's kool.....I mean your waiting until your ready......And obviously your bf cares about you and your opinion and not rushing it upon you to have sex......You got a great thing going on......He's a keeper.....Lol......

There's nothing bad about it. Even shocked reactions don't imply there is anything bad, just that it's surprising because so many people (teens and adults) jump into sex early in relationships.
Y'all need to do what is right for you...and as far as I'm concerned teens need to postpone sex as long as possible because there is too much that could happen that they are not prepared in any way to deal with.

people usually expect couples to be having sex esepecially younger adults.. it's not a bad thing. sex is better when you are married and just ignore their shocked faces becuase they're probably thinking wow i should have waited till i was married to have sex or whatever.

Don't listen to those people who tell you it is weird, it is none of their business. Don't let anyone pressure you. Remember it is NOT BAD, its smart. If you are both happy the way things are then don't change it. If it ain't broke why fix it.

i think it is good that you both havent done it yet.
a relationship doesnt revolve around sex but most people tend to think it does and that it keeps the other interesting.

i never had sex til i was 25. it wasnt an option. i wanted to have sex with girls, but they didnt want to have it because females just hate sex. now, i can get whatever asian woman i please. they dont refuse me because i have money. sex is great when the bltches arent western.
