Well Life as a renaissance princess could suck, as could everyone's life back then. I would concentrate on how this girl was tryng to get out of having to sit for a portrait. Short to the point and may be interesting for art class.

Boy meets girl...boy looses girl never fails!

Call it Romeo and Juliet....Casablanca.....Citizen Kane...King Kong...etc....it's all the same story line.

The trick is to disguise either the male or the female in such a way as to not be recogzined by the audience. Try this...

Princess is taken hostage by a band of outlaws who demand a ransom for the return of the princess. One of the bandits begins and finally falls in love with one of the handsome bandits. The bandit tries to help the princess escape from her captors. The princess and the lone bandit she is in love with run off and begin life on a distant and remote farm and lead their lives as farmers.

Within time the existing monarchy is overturned and everyone is executed by the revolutionaries. Wanting to return and bring stability to her country, her husband, the former bandit, sets out to overthrow the current regime. Instead of succeeding in trying to overthrow the existing revolutionary government, he now becomes the leader of a band of revolutionaries and is hunted with a bounty on his head.

He needs money to run his revolutionary campaign and begins to embark upon the notion of seizing people closely linked to the now monarch. One of the captors in a huge roundup of hostages is a woman. The woman meets the head of the bandits and he begins to fall in love with her, who he finds out later is the younger sister of his wife. Torn between two loves, he must now choose. To accept a position within the existing monarchy as the younger sister is the daughter of the king who promises him everything or continue as a revolutionary fighter for the princess he has at home?

Which princess will gain the heart of the bandit....?

Should be interesting as how you, the author, would finish writing the script...

Good luck.
